Attempt at setting the record for ‘Most Pets At Work’ on Take Your Dog To Work Day.

According to the St. Louis Business Journal:

“The company used a drone to photograph the group of people and their pets outside the company’s St. Louis headquarters. Those photographs will be used to determine how many workers and their pets participated. Purina will find out whether it was successful in its attempt in just a few weeks, but no current similar record exists.”

Airplane aerials for higher altitudes or where drones cannot fly.

Aerial photography presents its own set of distinctive issues that require more than just taking a shot from a great altitude. It can get monotonous if not approached with artistry and imagination. Professional commercial photography is intended to promote a customer’s offering, whatever it might be. For instance, with aerial photography, a developer might require an image of a recently developed housing complex or a new shopping mall, while an architectural firm may need to display a project in a manner that only an aerial photograph can do justice to; a resort may want to demonstrate its luxuries and golf course. Whatever the customer’s needs, an aerial photographer must produce effective visuals that effectively illustrate and market the product.

In aerial photography, it is necessary to take care in composing your subject, just as is the case with any professional photograph. Unlike a satellite image, most aerial shots are captured from an oblique angle, which brings added visual interest and depth to the image. Furthermore, it is much more feasible and less cost to shoot from an oblique angle as opposed to vertical or straight down.

I usually spend 20 to 30 minutes shooting when I get to a location since I can’t guarantee a satisfactory image with just a few exposures. It’s possible to do it faster, but to make sure I have the best possible result, I prefer to take more pictures. Aerial photography requires a lot of thought since you have to control the aircraft, the pilot and the three major elements of composition: angle, distance and elevation – all while moving at 100MPH!
